Hello, I'm a scholar, author, and editor. As a historian of religious thought, I write about Christian-Muslim relations and like to think about the ways people interact and identify their communities. As Research Associate at the Centre for Muslim-Christian Studies (Oxford), I also consult, practice, and promote Christian-Muslim dialogue. My creative writing can be found at Flâneur with a Fist.

I live with my partner, our three children, and a Golden Retriever. Together, we explore the beaches, headlands, and redwood forests near our home in northern California. On Saturdays we gather around the wood-fired oven for pizza. Scenes from normal life appear infrequently on Instagram.
